The CM Series of Make-up Machine

Ⅰ.Overview

The CM series of make-up machine was designed for screwing together of petroleum tubing and casing pipe coupling, it has the function of make-up and break-out, Also it can be used to screw together of some tools that was used under well, and break out it. The specialty as follows:

1.The CM series of make-up machine adopts combined hydraulic and pneumatic driving mode, featuring reliable system, simple and flexible operation.

2. There are three and more jaws in make-up machine, and there are three and more teeth in every jaw, the tooth touches with couple or pipe on the whole area of tooth, so The tooth marks are in compliance with API Standard, and will not damage the pipe body and the coupling. With the variation of the torque of the tong head, the clamping force varies automatically at a direct ratio, thus ensuring reliable clamping. A revolution speed transducer is provided on the principal tong for convenient gathering signals of rotation speed and number of circles. The principal tong has two gears shift (high and low) so as to meet the requirements for different torque and rotation speed. The hydraulic pump is an infinitive variable displacement pump, for which the principal tong may freely select rotation speed between zero and the highest speed of various gears.

3. The CM series of Make-up machine is of good centering ability; moreover, the floatable back-up tong is of good concentricity with the principal tong, able to meet the requirements for use of oil pipe, casing and coupling with different tolerances.

4. It is convenient for replacement of jaw and tooth.

5. A tensile forces sensor on the back-up tong, which is used to measure the make-up and break-out torque, is accurate, when the torque of 7376lbf.ft is set, the relatively tolerance ratio between the practice value and the display torque is within ±2%, fully able to meet the API requirements for precision of the make-up torque.

6. There is a industry computer and a PLC in the electric control system, and there a button of automatic operation or manual operation shift on the control panel. The shift operation is convenient.
